Your life is not a collection of seperate decisions.

Career affects money. Relationships, money and career affect where you live. Work affects money, time and family. Relationships affect family plans.

Fertility has its own timeline

And every decision, including waiting, creates ripples across the rest of your life.

Without attempting to solve everything at once, Solospheres helps single women:

  • See the whole picture
  • How the pieces fit together
  • Work out what matters most now
  • Plan for different possible futures

You don’t have a fertility decision, a relationship decision or a career decision. You have a life.

Solospheres is for the moments when the variables collide.

Should I freeze my eggs — and what happens afterwards?

How long do I wait for a relationship to become the partnership I want?

Do I become a mother alone?

Can I change career while planning for a family?

Where should I live if the life I’m building looks different from the one I expected?

What needs to be true financially and practically for the option I want to actually work?

We look beyond the decision itself to what it changes across family & fertility, love & relationships, work & purpose, money & security, home & place, community & support, health & wellbeing — and your internal world.

As seen in Women’s Agenda

Egg Freezing gives women options. But what comes next?

Solospheres Founder Amy Stephenson writes about why preserving your fertility is only one part of planning the life you want.

Amy Stephenson, Founder of Solospheres. Life Planning for Single Women.

Hi! I’m Amy Stephenson

I’m a life strategist specialising in complex, interconnected life decisions.

I created Solospheres because major life decisions aren’t made between static variables. Change one thing and the rest of the equation moves.

My work combines strategic thinking with lived experience of some of the decisions I now write and speak about, including fertility preservation and becoming a single mother by choice.

I help women move beyond endlessly analysing individual decisions and understand the life they are actually trying to build; and what needs to happen to make it viable.

The Solospheres “Life Equation”

Solospheres uses a proprietary decision-making framework to look beyond the decision itself.

We map the variables shaping your life: your structure, infrastructure, capacity, constraints, desires and unknowns;

Then examine the ripples a decision could create across the different spheres of your life. The result isn’t a generic answer or a pros-and-cons list, but a clearer view of what is possible, what the trade-offs are, and what needs to be built around your decision to make it work in real life.

Writing & Media

Amy writes and comments on the complex decisions shaping modern women’s lives — including fertility preservation, solo motherhood, relationships, work, money and the changing structures of family.
